You will absolutely love this place as long as you know what to expect. It is super old school, which means most of the diners are 60 and over, and it is also filled with families who have been coming every Saturday since the dawn of time. Their dinner rush appears to be at around 5:00--5:30. (If you decide to head there at 5:00, expect a wait). Low lighting and kitschy sailing artifacts adorn the walls. Your dinner salad will be the classic iceberg and the side vegetables will not be described as local, or farm-to-table, or anything else like that. If you order a gin and tonic, it will put you under the table.
What makes this place stand out is the quality of the seafood, the very reasonable prices, and the waitstaff which sincerely makes you feel welcome. My mouth is just watering thinking of the fried oyster plate. Yum. -

First time here! Apparently the restaurant has been there since 1971. Excellent service and delicious food! I ordered the walleye fried with homemade potato chips and it came with broccoli as well. Instead of a salad, I had clam chowder which was tasty! Walleye was tasty and lightly coated and fried! So delicious and not a fishy taste. Because it was Saturday, they served homemade cinnamon rolls plus the bread rolls. Delicious!! Hubby had prime rib and it was very tender and delicious! Huge baked potato and he also had the clam chowder. Daughter had the French Dip sandwich which she throughly thought it was delicious! She had a salad which was served cold and very tasty. Looking forward to going back!!

Had dinner and was very impressed with the ambiance, service, and food. Ordered a daily special of Halibut and it was very tasty. Only thing I was they had was dessert made in house, but other than that this is a must-try restaurant, especially if you like seafood.

We had a quiet dinner at Windward Passage. I started with the clam chowder. It had a good flavor and consistency. I had the prime rib with a baked potato, broccoli, and it was all very good. This is a place we will be going back to again!

Straight to the point...Decor gives the place character, wouldn't change a thing. Well maybe a bigger waiting area. The server & hostess were so friendly & welcoming. Anything we ordered was made to perfection. The drinks were on point. Disappointed we didn't leave room for dessert.
I will definitely return.
